Sometimes a patch of sunlight on a wall is enough to make you stop and simply look. I am fascinated by how light and shadow change familiar things and turn an ordinary moment into something beautiful. This work seems to speak about attention to such small things — about the ability to notice beauty in the everyday and to take pleasure in the moment itself.

The work is painted in oil on corrugated cardboard. A warm palette, a textured surface and the contrast of soft light with an expressive shadow convey that very feeling of a sunny day — the one you want to keep.
