“Simple Presence” is a portrait about the power of being yourself — without words, without trying to appear. The look is filled with inner peace, and the light gently highlights the vibrant warmth of the skin. It’s at times like this that it feels like people are really looking at you. Against a dark background, simplicity becomes expressive.
The work is in the style of a neoclassical portrait, executed in oil on a small canvas. Soft transitions, deep tone, silence — as the main note.
